Cell phone service for iphone 3g.?
I have an iphone 3gs and a nokia flip phone. Iphone service is sooo dang expensive, and all I want is the basic cell phone service. I put the sim card of my old nokia into the iphone, and get no bars unless at my house. I heard there is some sort of activate needed though to get another type of cell phone service on my iphone. It’s at&t but as I said I only want to transfer my nokia flip phone service with at&t to my iphone. I dont need the fancy stuff like GPS, and internet, etc. Just basic phone and text.
One thing that is getting confused possibly is I want the same carrier, but I want the same service that my Nokia had with AT&T, but I want it put on my Iphone.
The data plan is REQUIRED to use an iPhone on the AT&T network. Moreover, if you purchased the phone at the discounted price from AT&T or Apple, you signed a contract agreeing to the data plan for the full 2 year term of the contract. Terminating the data plan will terminate your service and will trigger the early termination fee.
Bottom line - use the iPhone and pay for the data plan or use the Nokia and pay the early termination fee.
