Need help with a GPS system?
What I’m looking for
1. Text to speech
-*not necessary* voice personalization
- a clear and loud voice
2. Accurate directions
3. Simple to use menu
4. Long battery life
5. rechargeable battery
6. affordable (nothing more than $250)
7. good memory
8. free updates of maps
9. good satellite signals
10. reliability
11. where am i
12. traffic avoidance is nice
13. no sun glare
14. not huge but a big screen is nice
15. road pronunciations (i’ll get lost w/o this haha)
any recommendations? I looked at the Tomtom go 720 and Garmin Nuvi 255w but I’m still undecided. if there’s any other features you think is good feel free to mention it. I’m in the US btw and won’t really use it in diff countries.

Garmin is a best gps system and popular gps, Garmin has a simple controls - simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, has a turn-by-turn voice directions, 2-D or 3-D maps and more feature.
A newer model of Garmin is ends with a “5″, like 205, 255, 265, 755, 765, 755, 785 is a newer model (old models is end with “0″ like 200, 350, 360, 760, etc).
I suggestion a Garmin nuvi model is a 255W, 265WT, 760, 360.
255W: same as 205W but has text-to-speech, you get turn by turn spoken directions with the real names of streets (e.g. “turn left in 50 feet at Nebraska Way”, rather than merely “turn left in 50 feet”), 4.3-Inch diagonal touch screen color display, etc.
265WT: : has free traffic service.
760: has text-to-speech, 4.3-Inch diagonal touch screen color display, bluetooth, included maps US and Canada, battery life (hours) = up to 5, etc..
360 : has text-to-speech (turn-by-turn voice directions that speak street names), 3.5-Inch sunlight-readable color screen, bluetooth, included maps US and Canada, battery life (hours) = up to 8, etc.
