Samsung BlackJack II GPS Question
I recently got a BlackJack II, directly from AT&T Wireless’s website. I was reading online about the GPS and how it works. But it says it connects to a Satellite and not the network…therefore it says its free to use…is this true? Any answers at all would be helpful!
GPS stands for Global Positioning Satellites and they are maintained by the US Govt.
These satellites send out positioning signals for free all the time and if you phone is GPS capable, it can listen and tell you your location without using any AT&T or Verizon or any other wireless carriers air time.
You don’t need to do anything to connect to the Satellites, just turn your phone on.
